Spinal Decompression Therapy

Successful treatment for sciatica, bulging and herniated discs, spinal stenosis, radiating nerve pain, spinal arthritis, back pain, and leg weakness.

Disc InjurySpinal Decompression Therapy is a non-surgical, revolutionary therapy for neck and back pain that is affordable, gentle, highly effective, FDA-cleared, and very safe. Spinal Decompression Therapy has allowed patients to avoid surgery and dependence on medication.

Tomasetti Family Chiropractic utilizes computerized decompression, which relieves neck and back pain by reducing the pressure on the discs, spinal joints, and nerves. In many cases this allows the body to maximally repair some of the damage inside the discs and other joints of the spine. The ability to target and decompress specific discs and vertebral levels using individual patient settings allows us to treat a wide range of acute and chronic spine and disc pain syndromes.

Once we achieve improvements, relief, and correction, we incorporate stability exercises to achieve long-term results. We also offer muscular re-education, cold laser treatment, applied kinesiology, myofascial release, advanced nutrition, and other individualized home therapies to help stabilize the spine.

Phases of Treatment

Relief Phase

The goal is to relieve the pressure on the nerves in your neck or back that is causing the pain. Most people find this treatment very relaxing and some even fall asleep. Relief varies according to your age, body structure, and degree of repair needed.

Restore Phase

As healing occurs in the neck or back, circulation is restored to the damaged disc and the healing of the disc tissue begins. This healing process occurs simultaneously with relief and reduction in symptoms.

Rebuild Phase

Following Spinal Decompression Therapy, you will begin strength restoration to re-stabilize your spine and prevent re-injury. By stabilizing your postural muscles with exercise, gait support, and applied kinesiology, your muscles function normally to reduce further stress on the spine.
